Season 3, episode 25: cloud cuckoo land
Anthony Doerr is the author of the Pulitzer Prize-winning novel All the Light We Cannot See, the National Book Award-shortlisted Cloud Cuckoo Land, plus two short story collections, another novel, and a memoir. His list of awards and accomplishments is as long as your arm.
He was also Laura’s first creative writing instructor in college 22 years ago. They caught up in an inspiring and wide-ranging conversation about everything from medieval history to technology to parenting to why fiction matters.
